more about Jessie's yoga journey...
Having grown up in an alternative environment in the hinterland of Byron Bay, in northern NSW Australia, yoga and the healing arts were a natural part of Jessie's life. She was first introduced to yoga as a teenager practicing Yoga Nidra with her mother and attending Satyananda yoga classes and retreats. At 21 she re-discovered yoga and began practicing with many leading teachers in many different styles of yoga including Iyengar Yoga, Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Remedial Yoga.
In 1995 she became a fully qualified remedial massage therapist and in 1997 completed a 9 month full time Yoga Teacher Training Course. For many years Jessie was a teacher on various Yoga Teacher Training Courses and retreats in Australia and Asia. In 2002 she ran her first Radiance Yoga Wellness Retreat in Bali, which have since grown to be held in Australia, Thailand and Europe.
Jessie has written 4 yoga books which are published by HarperCollins Australia, Ulysses Press USA and is available in many other languages in different countries. Her first book Yoga Postures for Your Body Mind & Soul is still Australia's bestselling yoga book.
Jessie is a contributor to many leading yoga and wellbeing magazines throughout Australia and Asia. She has been a regular columnist for Wellbeing Magazine, Pure, Australia Natural Health, Spa Asia and has
written on yoga for various resource websites. She has also developed the Radiance Yoga DVD's series for at home practice.
Based in Byron Bay, Jessie continues to develop her yoga by studying with many leading teachers, especially in the Iyengar Yoga method and attends workshops and teacher training courses to develop her teaching skills and understanding of yoga.
