Our 5 and 6 night Byron Bay Yoga Retreats are staying in a beautiful ocean views retreat oasis within walking distance to the nearby beaches and tea tree lakes.

The full and abundant Byron Bay retreat program offers time and space to deeply rest and awaken with twice daily yoga and restoration, guided meditations, beach and silent natures walks, yoga nidra, core strength and a range of other healing art classes for rest and renewal.

All our Byron Bay Retreats have a focus on developing and deepening one’s yoga practice, inner connection and natural stillness whilst relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surrounds.

Jessie, Lee and Anthea are the Byron Bay Yoga Retreat hosts supporting the journey to your relaxed and inspired self with quality guidance and yoga adjustments. There are no requirements to already have a yoga practice as Jessie teaches to cater to all. Everyone is welcome and well cared for with lots of one-on-one attention, nourishing adjustments and support. Many people join this retreat on their own and can either book a Single Room or share with another participant. Airport pick-up can be booked for an easy transition into the retreat. Each day on retreat is an inspired journey towards your relaxed and energised self with twice daily yoga, daily guided beach and nature walks, all organic meals and juices, massage, core strength classes, restoration yoga, guided meditation, yoga nidra and a range of other healing art classes for inspiration and renewal.

More about the Yoga

Jessie’s Radiance Yoga Classes combine gentle warm up sequences with Vinyasa yoga (moving through the postures with breath awareness) plus holding in postures longer to cultivate strength, flexibility, alignment, clarity and stillness. Many variations of the postures are given so people can practice according to their experience, physical conditions and individual needs. Yoga props are often used to go deeper and to experience correct alignment and relaxation. The Afternoon Restoration Classes are a deeply relaxing journey of gentle yoga and therapeutic supported yoga postures with relaxed breath awareness for deep rest. The Yoga is suitable for complete beginners to the long-term practitioner with Radiance facilitators offering adjustments and one on one attention so everyone is well cared for. More about the Meals

Our meals are lovingly prepared using fresh all-organic ingredients and are abundant, delicious and healthy to nourish and energise. Our wholefood plant based vegan meals are free of meat, dairy, wheat, sugar, oily and processed foods so your body will be gently cleansing and renewing throughout the retreat however this is not a fast and our meals are abundant. Each morning after yoga we enjoy a fresh juice before our delicious buffet breakfast. Lunch is another delicious and abundant buffet selection of dishes whilst dinner is a tasty, hearty and nutritious soup – allowing the digestive system to rest from chewing as we move towards our evening sleep. Fresh fruits, black and herbal teas, ginger, lemons, filtered drinking water, apple cider vinegar and spiralina powder are available throughout the retreat for extra nourishment, energy, cleansing and hydration. By the retreats end you’ll be looking and feeling vital, radiant and inspired with clear eyes, glowing skin and abundant energy.

More about the Location and Accommodation

Sangsurya Retreat is a beautiful 10 acre ocean views eco retreat based 3 km from Byron Bay town centre with a healthy ozone swimming pool, large wooden floor yoga hall and beautifully furnished rooms and cabins with aircon, fans and ensuite bathrooms. It takes most people about 25 min to walk to town and 20-25 min to walk to the nearest beach and tea tree lake. Bicycles can be hired in town if you wish to explore the area during free time on the retreat.

Arrival and Departure

Arrival Day: Guests are free to arrive from 9am onwards on the first day. A welcome buffet lunch is available between 12.30pm and 3.30pm and our first yoga class and group welcome is at 5pm. Due to flights, etc, people arrive at all different times on the first day however aim to arrive at your soonest to settle in, relax, enjoy a walk or a swim and settle into the retreat space.

Departure Day: On our last morning yoga finishes at 9 am followed by our farewell circle and group breakfast until 10 am and then the retreat comes to a close. Room check-out is at 12 midday however feel free to leave your bags at the dinning hall and stay on at the retreat and use the facilities if departing later in the day. How to Get There

If travelling by plane there are shuttle bus services direct to Sangsurya Retreat from Ballina Domestic Airport (25 min) and Coolangatta International Airport (45 min). If flying into Brisbane International Airport (2 hours) the shuttle bus arrives into Byron Bay where you can get a taxi to the retreat (5 min).
