Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some frequently asked questions. If you have a question, feel free to get in touch here:

Do I need to be experienced in yoga to join?
No. All levels are welcome and well catered to – including complete beginners and people with various physical conditions. The focus is on moving in a way that feels good, not achieving the perfect pose.

What if I’m coming alone?
Most guests join the retreat on their own along with some friends and couples as well. Retreats are a wonderful space to meet like-minded people, and we create a warm, friendly atmosphere where you can connect – or enjoy as much alone time as you like. You can book a private room or share a room with another retreat participant.

Will there be Wi-Fi?
Yes, though we encourage a device-light experience to help you unplug and reset. Many guests enjoy taking a digital break during the retreat. We set device-free zones and suggest
digital quiet times to help you truly unwind.

Is coffee available?
Yes. All retreat have coffee and teas available although as our Byron Bay Retreats are a little more on the cleansing side a plunger of coffee is available upon request from the kitchen rather than visible at all times. This is out of respect for those wishing to abstain during the retreat journey.

Can I bring my partner/friend who doesn’t do yoga?
Yes. Many bring friends or partners who enjoy the travel, food, and setting, even if they don’t join in on the yoga classes. Everything is optional, so they can tailor the retreat to their needs.

Do you cater for special dietary needs?
We cater to most dietary requirements including gluten-free, coeliac and other allergies, dairy-free, low carb, low FODMAP, etc. Let us know in advance so our experienced caterers can prepare accordingly.

What kind of yoga is practiced?
A nourishing blend of Hatha, restorative, Iyengar style and slow flow-style yoga along with meditation, pranayama, yoga nidra and other yoga practices. All accessible and supportive. Jessie has been teaching yoga for over three decades and tailors classes according to individual needs.

Do I have to attend every class or activity?
Not at all. This is your retreat. You can participate as much or as little as you like.

How many people will be on the retreat?
Group sizes are small and intimate -usually between 8 – 14 guests depending on the retreat location to ensure personalised attention.

What’s a typical day like on retreat?

Other activities, depending on the location, may include daily guided beach and nature walks, daily guided hikes, spa treatment journeys, cultural tours and other wellness experiences.
